About Me

Self publishing a novel

I always said I was going to write a novel, but for many years, I never got round to it. There was always something else to do. This year, I managed to actually do it, and while I can't say that I've picked up a huge book contract, I'm still pretty proud of the book I wrote so I'm self-publishing it and selling it to bookstores myself. It's a steep learning curve to work out how to get my book printed and working out all of the details of how the physical book will look. This website is a glimpse into the physical side of printing up your own self-published books for other new authors.

Purchasing the Right Office Equipment | Buying A Photocopier

by Lourdes Ramos

Business copiers are one of the major investments business owners have to make to keep their offices running in the most efficient way as possible. The copier salesperson is always interested in making as many photocopier sales as possible. However, the client is interested in purchasing equipment that meets their photocopying and printing needs and fits their budget.

Because of these varying interests, it is important for the client to consider some features when buying copiers and office printers. Read on to find out:

Overall output

Your selection of copier machine should be one, which can handle the printing needs necessitated by your office. For example, large-sized office printers with fax and other added functionality can be better suited for commercial settings and office spaces featuring multiple users. First, ascertain the overall print volume of your office and then look for a copier machine with the capacity your print volume needs.

Think about multifunction machines

A multi-use photocopier may feature printing, fax and scanning capabilities on top of the standard photocopying features. Clients should consider purchasing a multifunction product featuring the capabilities mentioned above in a bid to save office space and even realise cost savings on office equipment purchases. Such an investment could be vindicated if several departments within an organisation will be sharing office equipment on a routine basis.

For instance, the marketing department might need to carry out scanning, printing and faxing functions on fixed deadlines. The finance and accounting department might need to use the photocopier and scanner to prepare financial records. In this regard, investment in a multi-purpose machine rather than a standard office printer or copier makes more business sense. Likewise, the copier sales representatives should also use the versatility of a product to promote and make more office printer sales.

Remote printing and security

Majority of the latest models of office printers boast of wireless printing functionality which allow clients to produce print copies remotely. Furthermore, with respect to security, copier machines can be installed with a form of network security verification system, which allows only specific users unrestricted access to the equipment and network

All these features will increase production and rationalise your business processes. Therefore, from a user point of view, these latest features should sway your purchasing decision. From a sales rep perspective, it could mean more photocopier sales.

Purchasing a copier machine for your office is a major investment. Therefore, the features mentioned above can help you make the best purchasing decision. Contact a company such as Copyworld to learn more.
